Imodium to advertise on podium

DIARRHOEA relief giants Imodium will be advertising on a podium, it has emerged.
The new promotions campaign has been masterminded by Jason Smuerk, head creative honcho at top agency Sometimes I Wonder.
Smuerk was the brains behind the award-winning ads for anusol on chairs.
He said: “We will be robustifying our imodium on the podium campaign and rolling it out across all awareness loci.”
Sometimes I Wonder’s clients have been assured there will be no podiums in the UK without an Imodium logo by the end of the month.
Smuerk added: Anusol is applied to bottoms, and bottoms are applied to chairs, so that campaign was no-brainer on steroids. Likewise Imodium on a podium has been a cognitive walkthrough.”
But the move has come under fire from the Campaign Against Podium Odium.
The CAPO’s general secretary Ivor Stickelback said: “It’s time we brought back a modicum of decorum in all things podium. As I told them in Oldham, it’s gone too far.”
